In partnership with WPBS, WCNY is pleased to present these “Skills Enrichment” resources. Originally presented as a summer enrichment program to assist educators during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken great care to expand the “Skill Enrichment” program for individualized use in the classroom. Recognizing the need for supplemental learning materials in our local school districts, we have procured trusted resources from PBS and packaged them into a single, easy-to-use platform.
The “Skills Enrichment” platform emphasizes Mathematics, English Literacy, and Social and Emotional Well Being that educators can personalize and assign to students to assist with academic recovery. Educators will find New York State, standard aligned video and print resources, activities, tasks, lesson plans, and fully recorded lessons to supplement curriculum needs in our school districts to assist educators and students with academic recovery.
This resource is not intended to be used as curriculum, but as a tool to assist educators and students with academic recovery using a set of vetted resources. We envision educators using this resource to target specific skills students need to successfully bolster their learning.
